Being an Early Riser is Part of a Healthy Lifestyle
You will often hear many individuals say that they are not a morning person and that they prefer to do and handle all their responsibilities at night. There can be several problems with this because in most cases individuals are not as productive at night as they are during the day. Even if this means that they have not gotten up until noon and half of the day has gone their concept is that they worked late into the night so it all turns out to be the same. It is not true as there are things that you are missing by sleeping half the day and part of that is proper nutrition. This can be detrimental to a healthy lifestyle.
Getting up in the morning and hopefully before the rest of the family gets up gives you time to gather your thoughts together and prepare for your day. Most often you will find that when you are planning for the day it goes a lot easier and smoother than when you were running around not knowing what to do next.
Morning time should be your quiet time as well. You should be able to sit down, have your coffee, and just enjoy what is around you. Ideally find a quiet spot or spot that you enjoyed the most or some place where you are not going to be undisturbed for at least fifteen minutes to a half hour. This helps to promote a healthy lifestyle.
If you concentrate on just how stress-free you are at this particular time then you can use it as a guideline as you go throughout the day. You will begin recognizing your stress levels are rising and perhaps get them into better control.
Always be sure to allow yourself enough time in the morning to do things that need to be done for example getting the kids up, getting breakfast, making lunches and getting yourself ready to go out the door. If you have to rush at doing, all these tasks than you burn a great deal of energy before your day has even started. You started yourself on a downhill spiral right from the beginning.
Sometimes people will say that if they plan to get up too early that they are not going to have enough energy to complete the day. Often, people find that they have more energy by getting up earlier. Part of this is because when it comes time for bed you are going to go to bed at a reasonable hour because you had a full day.
Try to make rising early a part of your daily routine. Do not get into the habit of getting up early one day and then sleeping in the next day. You are just going to mess up your system such as your biological clock by doing this. You are then going to become out of sorts and probably a little irritable.
Even if you find that there is the occasional time that your day has to start earlier because of responsibilities. Still make sure that you have your personal time prior to this by getting up even 15 minutes earlier. If you do not you are going to find you get the feeling that something is missing all day and that will be because you missed your personal time.
